The 27 holes at Granite Links in Quincy is a regular golf tour de force. To top it off, the course and its clubhouse offer some of the best views of the Boston skyline in the area. John Sanford designed each of the three nine-hole links-style layouts: the Milton Course (2003), Granite Course (2004), and Quincy Course (2006).
“The signature hole at Granite Links would be Milton No. 5,” says director of golf Chris Sleeper, “a medium-length par 4 that looks directly into the city. From the tee you can aim your shot at the Prudential Center building. After navigating your tee shot, a short iron is required to approach this two-tiered green. Some people have trouble putting on this green—not because of the break, but because the 360-degree views makes it hard to focus on golf!”
Built on once actively mined quarries, remnants can still be seen here today, and its multiple 18-hole combinations will ensure that each round here will be a completely new and unique golf experience. Polish your game at the driving range or instructional clinics offered, and grab a bite to eat at the clubhouse restaurant that also overlooks the city skyline.
